  • Physical Appearance
As a result from an accidental breeding between an American Akita and an Alaskan Malamute, Cadence had acquired a unique physique and coloration from both powerful breeds.

Cadence's face would be the most memorable aspect of her. As a unique characteristic to both breeds: the teddy-bear face. The soft velvet fur and gentle facial expressions indicates her ironic grace and strength combination. Her thick and boxy skull carries wideset, large, pointed ears and a slim wolf-like muzzle. As result of a bizarre mix and possible tainting of multiple breeds in both lines, the mongrel had recessive genetics show off two differently-colored eyes, one electric blue, the other a chocolate brown.

Standing at a good-sized 25 inches from the ground to shoulders, Cadence's broad shoulders and chest indicates both breeds' historical uses. Much of her physical strength originates in the thick muscles that power her shoulders and front legs. Though she had never had pulling or sledding training, her instincts help her with proper weight distribution and balance. She has a slender, yet fully-built, frame, built more for strength and endurance rather than speed. However, do not underestimate her, for she can still get up to rather hasty speeds and do so for longer periods. Her curled tail, used for, obviously, balance and expressions, can be compared to a bottlebrush, thick-furred and lightly-colored.

Cadence's coat is generally a mix of both the Malamute's coarse coat and the Akita's soft. The Malamute's genetics are seen to have affected the back fur, tail, britches, and a portion of the neck fur. Akita fur accomodates for the rest. A tan color is brushed along the mix's head, paws, and britches. Her back is sprinkled in a salt-and-pepper coloration, generally taking the form of a saddle and a thin streak at the base of the neck. The rest of the coat is a off-white coloration, reaching nearly complete white among the undersides.
